The Old Tape

The Old Tape is a limited-edition Rum Barrel-Aged coffee that transforms packaging into a collectible. Featuring a washed Arabica from Chikmagalur, Karnataka, aged in barrels for four weeks. Inspired by the nostalgia of discovering an old cassette hidden away for years, the project explores how physical objects preserve memories through wear, stories, and time. Drawing from the culture of mixtapes and shared memories, the project transforms a coffee release into an interactive keepsake. It demonstrates how packaging can move beyond containment and branding to become a vessel for storytelling.
