Designed by Pedro Silva Ferreira, Portugal.

This project is conducted on IPCA (Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave) and produced through the graphic design superior course, under guidance of Professor Jorge Pereira. This project comes down to the implementation of a package of three qualities of sugar (white, yellow, and brown sugar), for a Portuguese brand selected by myself.

This product can be considered as essential to our lives, it is widely used by families, and for that reason were defined main goals to achieve the following aspects:
– Adequacy of packaging weight to markets, allowing two types of quantity of sugar;
– Making efficient packaging, try to solve the problems of leakage of the product;
– Improve the usability of the package and this could as a second utilization, this could have the further feature using the object as sugar bowl;
– Improve packaging for better readability for all age groups.

A simple and effective graphic communication maintains their life cycle, easily stackable and appealing due to its image. The graphics communication from the package is based on a elephant image just because that is the symbol of the adopted brand and which was performed using a plot of circles, and a set of opacities, alluding to sugar crystallization process. Acquire an attractive, fun, and functional package, attributing power to product exploring new markets.
