Made from a surprising combination of grapes, and an atypical vinification method, the “Flamant Rouge” (Red Flamingo) is a premium French wine.

Approached by ‘Les Editions de Vins Rares’, Appartement 103 was asked to design an eye-catching label that would reflect the peculiarity of the product and communicate the distinctive personality of the brand.

“To create a design that truly expresses what is inside, we needed to find the right brand story, the key element that would make this wine really unique, standing out from its competitors. The solution was just there, in front of the vineyard, where the lake welcomes a colony of flamingos as a very unique characteristic of the area.” – says Marc Savary, Appartement 103’s Creative Director.

As an atypical wine with an atypical bird as its ambassador, Appartement 103’s team displayed the flamingo onto the label through a carefully hand-drawn illustration, while the long legs of this exquisite animal inspired the logo typeface. Boosting elegance, character, and charisma, the label is the perfect expression of the wine hidden inside.

The project is a New Product Development involving Branding, Primary Packaging Design and Story Telling, that will be released in the national French market.
