ROYAL ESSENCE, a creation with the CD DESIGN signature
Royale Essence, representing French luxury at its purist and most emblematic, was born of the meeting between four entrepreneurs from complementary specialist trades, and sharing the same passion for the universe of fine spirits and luxury.
Object steeped in emotion and technicality, ROYALE ESSENCE was recently unveiled at LUXE PACK Monaco 2015 on the ORIMONO stand, accompanied by its creative designer, Céline Delcourt.
Luxury packaging designer and founder of the CD DESIGN creative workshop, Céline Delcourt is a massive fan of all things luxury. In a spirit of permanent exchange with her colleagues and technical partners, she works on securing the future of luxury brands by favouring design full of meaning and emotion, and built upon creativity and innovation.

In the search for meaning, CD DESIGN has come up with a brand universe that draws you into exploring, and above all experiencing, French luxury.
ROYALE ESSENCE, l’Œuvre du Temps, unveils the history of one of the most sought-after French fine spirits in the world for its finesse, its exceptional aroma and its notes of unrivalled complexity: “Recovered from the ocean’s depths in a mysterious wreck, the precious and delicate nectar returns from a long voyage. Dating from 1673, this sunken treasure had in its day made its mark on minds and on the history of fine spirits. For so long rocked by the ebb and flow of the watery deep, this elixir was miraculously preserved thanks to its casing, found in one of the chests of the ship’s hold.” The ROYALE ESSENCE bottle, with its pure silhouette and refined decoration, is perfectly complemented by its handsome box, a symbol of elegance and refinement. ROYALE ESSENCE, a consistent and authentic packaging creation
The ROYALE ESSENCE identity immediately plunges the observer into a dreamlike universe inspired by the diktats of time and space. The brand takes its inspiration so elegantly from a series of different yet complementary universes.
Horology, the tool for measuring time, makes its entrance in the form of a chronograph. Bottle and box are decorated with fine, precise and minutely-detailed screen-print designs, testifying to the passage of time: an array of delicate mechanisms, conceived as an invitation to explore time and history.
Astronomy, the science of space, is accessible through the aesthetics of a planetarium motif. Celestial bodies spinning around a compass, the ultimate navigation device, adorn both bottle and box, as an invitation to travel afar.
ROYALE ESSENCE, symbol of finesse
The ROYALE ESSENCE bottle harbours several major technical feats of prowess. The craft engraver, MSV (MICRO SABLAGE VERRIER), had no hesitation in pushing back the limits of the technique in order to attain the ultimate level of precision. Comparable to the work of a goldsmith, MSV combines engraving and screen-print decoration in order to adorn the bottle with different levels of relief. Alongside this new degree of mastery there is another masterful touch: associating two shades of engraving with remarkable finesse and frosting.
ROYALE ESSENCE, symbol of emotions
Bottle and box are enhanced with richly-crafted textile adornments. ORIMONO has injected its sophisticated textile craftsmanship into offering a new sensuality to this precious libation. Following a graphic line initiated by the CD DESIGN creative workshop, items of Jacquard weaving were specially created and incorporated on the bottle and on the main flap of the box. The finely-engraved bottle has its long neck dressed with a textile collar rich in fine and delicate detail. As for the “box-case” container, with its dual-gilding, sophisticated cut-outs reveal a Jacquard weave on a front-and-back star motif, with Shining Gold and Deep Matt Black tones. Once open, the inner packaging in All-Gold 3D weave can be glimpsed behind the carafe, capturing and reflecting the slightest glints of light.
ROYALE ESSENCE, symbol of innovation
Symbol of elegance and refinement, the ROYALE ESSENCE case, with its dual-gilding, relief effects and hot stamping, presents the supreme level of finishing and high demands associated with the ADIC Packaging workshop. The volume design is a co-signature of the CD DESIGN creative workshop and ADIC Packaging. Ingenious and innovative, this hybrid container (halfway between case and box) offers unique flexibility of use. Its original design benefits from the technical advantages of a case while showing off the product like a glorifier box.
