FLORIO is a Sicily winery, know for his Marsala, a liqueur made from the grasp. For the first time, the Company decided to go in the sparkling-wine market, whit a wine that is complitly different from all his other products: a sparkling wine “brut”.

For the launch of this new produckt was necessary to think about a new packaging. My idea was to focus on the eritage of the brand, his territory and his visual-code.

Thaking inspiration from “Perrier Jouet” and “Veuve Clicquot” and knowing the limitation of the budget, and the problem of the production line, I create a bottle that, as the brief rquired, was a good combination of tradition and modernity.

I took the flowers of a sicily painting, the orange of the Florio logo and I create a very simply and minimal label. I decided to not use gold or metals color but only matte orange and white, putting them on the black glass: this to avoid to be old and instead trying to be fresh and young.

The bottle has a very small labelling area, but I try to use all of it, playng whit the flowers.

The most part of the label is used for showing the brand, that is the most important message on the pack, because have to show to the costumer that the brand has change his position on the shelf: from liqueur to sparkling-wine.
