De 36 frågorna (The 36 questions) is a series of personal questions used by the psychologist Arthur Aron to explore the idea of fostering closeness through mutual vulnerability.

De 36 frågorna is a social game based on Aron’s research. Or as we like to call it, love in a box! The two participants take turns in asking the questions and finish by looking into each others eyes for four whole minutes.

With the packaging we wanted to convey the idea of love in the form of mystical chemistry. In the design you’ll find quite a few clear and unclear references to both questions in the game as well as love in general. And maybe some hidden messages?

Colour and typography lend its expression from the indulgent 1970s. The combination is an explosive reaction between free love and occult alchemy. The result is forever!
