Virgin Galactic, division of the Virgin group, is about to start commercial orbital flights with civilian passengers, personalities with high purchasing power have already made the reservation on one of their flights. On this journey into the stratosphere, space sensations as unique as zero gravity are experienced. The order consists of designing a pack line for a snack consisting of a main dish, a dessert and a drink that will be served during the flight, which has received the name of Asimov.

Ferran Adriá, the world-renowned chef, is in charge of devising the food that will go in the pack. The three main objectives are to create a brand and develop a graphic line according to the target to which it is addressed, apply this graphic to the packaging taking into account the opening rhythms of the pack and make it attractive and appealing to the user.

The concept is the universe and its planets, the connection between food and planets are in the various ways in which these can manifest, as a single graphic sign can be represented through various techniques in various ways.

What’s Unique?
The basis of everything has been the desire to experiment and create a project that communicates more from a tactile point of view.

The concept was quite simple but it lent itself well to the design of the pack and I sought to exploit their forms to the fullest by playing at 360 degrees. The aim was to seek to elevate this idea to a premium product through simplicity and elegance, thanks also to the study of the paper used and the different printing techniques.
