India has a rich cultural heritage of handloom industry and world famous workmanship of hand-woven textiles. Paithani, the fabric woven in traditional ways even after many centuries, is renowned as “the great fabric” not only for Maharashtra but also from India. Even in today’s advanced world the methods of weaving Paithani have not changed at all.

The Paithani, originating from Paithan, is one handloom treasure purely woven in silk and zari (thread made of gold or silver). Woven with extremely delicate silk threaded sticks, the Paithani is one fabric, which cannot be matched by any other cloth today that is why it is enchanting legacy from Maharashtra.

The Paithani has a wide product range which is classified by the motifs used on it, the colors used, the size and length of ‘Pallu’ and the weaving style. The total weight of a finished Paithani varies from 900 gm to 1500 gm depending on the quality of silk and zari used as well as width, quality and work required on the kath and padar.

Despite of its world wide popularity and sell, unique packaging are not available for Premium range sarees also. I have designed packaging solution for the Paithani Saree Brand – Tathastu to enhance the experience while buying and unwrapping the premium and traditional saree. The shape is also inspired from one of the motifs of Paithani saree. It gives traditional touch with modern packaging experience to the customers.

What’s Unique?
Packaging form is inspired from one of the motifs of Paithani “KUYARI” (paisley). It has USP as –
