Night is the time for parties and energy drinks. Night is the time when everything hidden reveals itself. Glim energy drink is a beverage for young people who seek answers and stay awake all night. The can works as an oracle answering questions. Glim tells fortune by answering a «yes or no» question. It gives a response with different extents of possibility. For example you can get a «no way» response or a «maybe» or a «definitely» one.
In the daylight there is only an acid pattern to see but in the night answers on that pattern reveal themselves. It is possible because there is a luminescent paint on the label that shines in the dark. The patterns on labels are made out of the letters that together form responses. Responses have the luminescent paint on them while the rest of the label do not. So in the light the answer is hidden and in the dark there is only an answer to see. As the patterns are based on the different responses they are unique and none of them look alike. Different types of patterns are based on the variable typeface that has three masters: «glim square», «glim triangular» and «glim round». These three forms (square, triangle and circle) are the basis of the design. The combination of these free forms in the typeface creates an effect of light distortion and tremble.
The package becomes an independent art object with which you can interact after its main function of a beverage’s vessel is completed. Everything reveals itself in the dark!
