We worked with nuEra to create the Pre-Rolls For A Cause campaign to support October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month where a dollar from every pre-roll was donated to Gilda’s Club of Chicago, a local non-profit organization that provides free cancer support through a welcoming community. Nearly $6,000 was raised!
Labels were digitally printed by our friends at Blue Label Packaging Company on a metallic substrate to help the pink ribbon artwork really pop. A white knockout layer was used to give a nice contrast between the matte and metallic areas of the labels.
We parted with nuEra’s strain specific color palette for a pink that reflects Breast Cancer Awareness Month and photographed all of the products on a matching pink background to drive home the campaign and make it hard to miss in-store and online.
NuEra also packaged their pre-rolls in Blazy Susan pink cones to enhance the whole project even further. We are very proud of our contribution to helping raise awareness and funds for a cause that we care deeply about as our Founder, Nate Azark, has had a number of friends and family members battle this terrible disease.
The most unique aspect of this project is the charity connection. As cannabis is incredibly localized, it was very important to nuEra, a local Chicago company, that the money raised from this campaign was donated to a local charity. The campaign was so successful that nuEra had to print more pre-rolls to meet demand!
In terms of the packaging, we parted with nuEra’s strain specific color palette for a pink that reflected Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Blazy Susan pre-roll cones were also incorporated, which imparted a unique look and feel.
