Simi Mama Birtoka Grape Juice

Simi Mama Birtoka is a small family business in Hungary where they create homemade products such as jams, juices, chutneys.

Among these, I re-thought the box of juices, more precisely the packaging of the white grape juice, which was previously sold in a bag-in-box.

While considering the look of the design and layout one of my main goals was to keep the company’s original friendly aura but at the same time combine it with some playfulness and give it a premium feel.

It was also important to bring back the curves that appear on the logo and the leaf shape which is very prominent to the overall brand identity. This shape, while giving the can a unique look, also provides the right ergonomics for pouring the juice. And the cap on the wall of the can allows drip-free pouring.

For the material of the can I chose the Favini citrus crush paper, an environmentally friendly paper made from grape residues in addition to citrus fruits. With its colour and slight texture, it perfectly suited the look I had in mind. I designed the box in two sizes, a 1 litre and a 0.3 litre version.
