Efes Haus Craft Beer Packaging Designs by Orhan Irmak Tasarim

Orhan Irmak Tasarim created the packaging for the Efes Haus Craft Beer series. Efes is the market-leading beer brand in Turkey and five other countries. The company recently launched its new craft beer brand, Efes Haus. We were tasked with designing the packaging for this new brand and our designs has been shortlisted for the 2025 Pentawards – one of the world’s most prestigious packaging design competitions.

The goal of this project was to convey the appeal of craftsmanship and highlight the brand’s unique production process. “To capture Efes Haus’s craft spirit and artisanal brewing techniques, we drew inspiration from the handcrafted aesthetics of stained glass.” says Dr. Orhan Irmak, design director of the agency. We created sharp illustrations resembling pieces of colored glass, using them as design elements to represent the distinct flavors of each beer. The bright colors, inspired by stained glass, not only emphasize the craft nature of the brand but also ensure strong shelf presence. At the heart of our design, we placed a house illustration, referencing both the shape of the letter “H” in the brand name and the meaning of Haus – “house” in German.
