Objective: To create product identity for the export market line “Olivos Centenarios” (Centennial Olive Groves) by La Española, a centenary brand, for a truly unique EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil).

Challenge: To communicate its heritage (since 1840) and the exclusive origin of its century-old olive trees, while achieving visual disruption on the shelf and embodying a profound technical foundation in every detail. The design had to reflect the intense nuances and smooth balance characteristic of this millenary olive oil, as well as the passion and legacy of over 180 years… (quite a feat).

DESIGN PROCESS I focused on creating artisanal illustrations and details that capture the essence of an EVOO with history. The very old olive tree. The one with deep roots. Large, centennial… it was illustrated to evoke this legacy using age-old techniques to represent over 180 years of history and the aromatic intensity of the product. It was created to unite tradition with evolution, seeking artisanal perfection in the composition to reflect the unique flavor profile.

EXECUTION, TECHNIQUE, AND SPECIFICATIONS Technique, Art, Tactile & Visual Experience

Paper: Fasson Greaseproof Rustique FSC. Selected for its authentic texture, grease resistance, traditional feel, and great durability. Printing (Gallus RCS): 6 Offset colors for a powerful and disruptive chromatic base (Pantone 457 Night Blue) to break visual codes and celebrate the product’s unique character. UV Silk Screen on illustrations, elevating the intensity of the details and the sensory experience. Finishes (Gietz Rofo 450): Double Hot Stamping 325 and 038. Blue Palette: Bold and disruptive in key elements. Executed with artisanal precision. Aged Gold Stamping (Oro Vetusto): Used for details and fonts (typography), evoking nobility, permanence, and passion for a Legacy, a History, a Future.

BRAND EXPERIENCE Thanks to a groundbreaking palette and highly worked finishes, the design achieves visual disruption on the shelf, elevating brand perception. It visually communicates the EVOO’s aromatic intensity and smooth balance.

“La Española Centennial Olive Groves” is consolidated as a benchmark for authenticity, branding, and excellence, offering an unmistakable product experience, rich in history and flavor. It establishes a true standard of authenticity.
