Fisekis Aged Tsipouro

Fisekis Aged Tsipouro

iFRAME DESIGN STUDIO

This project is the premium packaging design for Fisekis Distillery Aged Tsipouro, an oak-matured Greek spirit from Epirus, Greece, positioned as a refined sipping experience rather than a casual traditional drink. The final product combines a standard glass bottle enhanced through custom gold printing and label design, framed by a rigid, custom-designed presentation box with an architectural die-cut window. The box is produced in Colorplan Claret paper and finished with gold foil stamping inside and out, creating a unified premium system that communicates rarity, warmth, and collectability from first glance to unboxing.

In terms of industry impact, the project demonstrates how a culturally rooted product can be elevated without relying on folklore clichés. Tsipouro packaging often leans heavily on regional ornamentation or outdated “heritage” codes; our goal was to introduce a contemporary premium language based on structure, typography, hierarchy and materials, bringing tsipouro closer to the visual standards of aged spirits such as cognac or whisky, while keeping its Greek identity intact.

The key challenge was reframing perception: translating “local distillate” into “aged spirit with depth,” and doing so with clarity on shelf and strong storytelling in hand. The typographic system, emblem seal and sunburst geometry provide immediate recognition across the glass, label and outer packaging, while the box’s architectural cut enhances visibility and creates a confident, luxurious retail presence.

For the client, the benefits are direct and measurable: increased perceived value and pricing power, stronger differentiation in crowded spirit shelves, and improved export readiness through a design system that speaks internationally. Most importantly, the packaging gives the distillery a coherent premium platform, one that can scale into future aged expressions, limited editions and gift formats.
