The packaging design for Entopion is built around clarity, proximity and authorship. Developed for a family-run olive producer in Messinia, the system applies consistently across olive oil, Kalamata olives and olive paste, creating a unified visual language for different product categories.
The name Entopion refers to something local and specific to place and is paired with the family name Kapsampelis to establish clear origin and lineage. The label concept is based on a simple gesture: it is treated as a sheet of paper on which the producer has written notes. Handwritten elements appear as comments, signatures and brief annotations, introducing a sense of personal responsibility and direct involvement.
Beneath this layer sits a photographic image of an olive tree trunk, used consistently across the range. The focus on texture and materiality connects the products to a specific agricultural context without decorative symbolism.
Typography remains simple and legible, allowing handwritten elements and imagery to lead. Colour is restrained. The Kapsampelis family emblem appears on every package, marking authorship and continuity across the system.
