Mohabbat Single Malt Whiskey

Some words are difficult to translate because they describe more than an emotion. They describe a way of moving through the world.

In Urdu, Mohabbat is often understood as love, but its meaning extends beyond romance. It speaks of care, generosity, devotion and the quiet satisfaction of doing something with your whole heart. Rather than treating the word as a theme, the project asked a different question: what would Mohabbat look like if it became an object?

The answer became a single malt whisky.

The bottle draws its silhouette from the surahi, a vessel that has lived in Indian homes for generations. Traditionally used to store and serve water, the surahi has long been associated with hospitality and the simple act of sharing. Its form was chosen not as an ornamental reference to the past, but because its meaning already aligns with the values behind the brand.

This idea continues throughout the identity. Hindi and Urdu appear together on the label, allowing two scripts that share a long cultural history to exist side by side. At the centre sits a four-petal heart, a restrained brand mark representing four expressions of Mohabbat; love for people, place, craft and self. A palette of deep crimson, black, amber and gold reflects the warmth of the whisky while remaining understated and timeless.

In the end, Mohabbat became more than the name of the whisky. It became the idea that shaped every part of its identity.\
