ABOUT
Bowl of Broth was founded in London to challenge the everyday packaged soup culture. In a city where convenience often comes at the cost of nutrition, the brand reintroduces the slower philosophy of Asian cooking—where food is prepared with patience, intention, and care rather than speed. Inspired by the founder’s upbringing and the traditions of slow-cooked broths across Asia, Bowl of Broth brings freshly prepared, small-batch broths to modern lifestyles, proving that convenience doesn’t have to compromise authenticity.
SOLUTION
The challenge was to create a packaged broth brand that felt homemade and desirable in a category dominated by loud colours, commercial aesthetics, and clinical wellness cues. We deliberately moved away from the expected visual language and built an identity that feels warm, handcrafted, and deeply human. Handwritten typography, expressive illustrations, imperfect details, and a restrained colour palette work together to reflect the honesty behind every bowl. Rather than competing through visual noise, the packaging celebrates what truly matters—the ingredients, the slow-cooking process, and the care that goes into every batch—creating a scalable identity that extends seamlessly across packaging, retail, and future product ranges.
RESULT
Bowl of Broth transforms a simple everyday broth into a brand rooted in ritual, nourishment, and culture. The packaging stands apart by communicating warmth through restraint, creating an authentic presence in a category often defined by convenience-first design. By translating the values of Asian slow cooking into a contemporary visual identity, the brand creates an experience that feels both familiar and refreshingly modern—inviting people to slow down, reconnect with real food, and rediscover the comfort of meals made the way they were always meant to be.
