Neothera was built because the science of skin health is a system—and systems require more than products. They require protocols. The brand was positioned to occupy the space between mass dermatological brands that underwhelm and pharmaceutical formulas that damage, delivering clinical potency and dermatological safety in equal measure.
Before naming or design, the team went into deep research: one-on-one interviews with acne sufferers, pharmacy visits, surveys and conversations with dermatologists, alongside time spent with Neothera’s own medical team. The goal was to understand the category deeply enough to challenge it.
The strategic framework that emerged was Skin Math, a system that breaks every skin condition into measurable, correctable variables and maps every ingredient to a precise function. Inflammation, barrier integrity, sebum production, pigmentation and microbiome stability are the variables that determine skin health. Correct them in sequence and the skin heals. Skin Math gave Neothera a brand language that is clinical without being cold and precise without being inaccessible.
The design follows the same logic. Every Neothera pack carries a gradient that moves from light to dark, soothing to potent, making the brand’s core philosophy visible before the copy does. Function-first at every touchpoint, rejecting beauty language entirely in favour of communication that respects the consumer’s intelligence.
