QAJARI Wine — Packaging Inspired by Persian Heritage
QAJARI is a conceptual wine packaging project that brings Persian cultural heritage into a contemporary luxury context.
The central illustration is based on a historic depiction of Rostam’s battle with the White Demon from Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh. As one of the most influential works in Persian literature, the Shahnameh provided a powerful narrative foundation for the brand and allowed the packaging to communicate history through a recognizable visual story.
The design also draws inspiration from the elegance and ceremonial character associated with the Qajar era. A restrained palette of black, warm ivory, metallic gold, and deep red was selected to balance historical depth with a refined premium presence.
The bottle features translucent, sandblasted glass, chosen to express clarity, purity, and the uncompromised character of the wine. The matte label contrasts with glossy, embossed gold foil details, bringing attention to the typography, emblem, ornamental borders, and fine lines of the illustration.
A sculpted red wax closure, finished with the brand’s lion-and-sun emblem, introduces a tactile and ceremonial element to the opening experience. Together, the frosted glass, detailed illustration, metallic finishes, and wax seal transform the bottle from a simple container into a collectible object inspired by Persian storytelling and craftsmanship.
