Argentine Playing Cards for Ediciones de la Montaña

Design and illustration of Argentine Playing Cards for Ediciones de la Montaña.

I’d been wanting to work on a project like this for a long time, and then the proposal from Ediciones de la Montaña came along: design and illustrate a deck of Argentine playing cards based on the traditional Spanish deck.

It was a long process that I truly enjoyed, with total creative freedom and great teamwork every step of the way.

Between the May sun, gauchos, paisanas, payadores, facones, mates, boleadoras, and ceibo flowers, this beautiful project came to life—and I’m excited to share it with you here!
