Graphic development of the C.OL.O.M.BO. packaging, containing Extra Virgin Olive Oil. C.OL.O.M.BO. Is an acronym which stands for Customized Olive Oil Metallic Bottle. It has been developed to be compatible with glass bottles commonly used in the edible oil sector. It won the bronze at the CAN OF THE YEAR AWARD IN 2008 (Innovation award) of the International Packaging Association.
“United cans for Benetton” were created by Gruppo ASA (the first independent group in Italy in the field of General Line metal packaging and the fourth biggest group in Europe) for Luciano Benetton and Family. The colors and the lettering were chosen in accordance with the lively and fresh style of the worldwide renowned fashion brand. The words “OLIO EXTRA VERGINE DI OLIVA” (Extra virgin olive oil) can only be read if the cans are joined. On each side, there is a poem dedicated to the wonderful Italian lands, in which grow the centuries-old olive trees from which the renowned extra virgin olive oil is produced.
What’s Unique?
C.OL.O.M.BO. is an innovative packaging, especially for the unique shape. Also, for this reason, it won the bronze at the CAN OF THE YEAR AWARD IN 2008 (Innovation award) of the International Packaging Association.
