Wilko, the UK’s popular homewares and household high street retailer, asked branding and packaging specialist Wowme! to put the shivers into their Halloween product range, resulting in a great new look for this year’s spookiest occasion.
Introducing a family of illustrated spooky characters including Betty Mcflap the bat, Bubble the witch’s cauldron and Ludwig Van Pumpkin the new designs are a complete re-think on what Wilko have done before.
Following several months of crafting the re-design and tone-of-voice the new line of over 300 own brand products and stunning point-of-sale appeals to both children and those grown up children who wish to join in with the fun!
Halloween is now the second largest shopping occasion in the UK, ahead of Easter. Year-on-year reports show that sales are increasing and the appeal of Halloween is widening beyond traditional children’s Trick or Treating, with adult dress-up, house decoration and themed dinner parties become increasingly more popular.
