Alkimia is a family owned bean-to-bar chocolate brand from Peru. At Alkimia we believe in changing the way people think about chocolate.

That starts with being transparent. We use only two ingredients: organic cacao and artisanal sugar, NO added cocoa butter, lecithin, or vanilla. We let you know where our ingredients have been sourced from and the result is an exceptional chocolate that highlights the individual flavors and nuances of each bean we source directly from local cacao farmers.

Our packaging also aims to push the boundaries of the traditional rectangular chocolate bar. The result is a hexagonal chocolate, with this, we wanted to show that chocolate can be different.

Our unique shape enables easy sharing, it can be divided in eighteen triangles, perfect for chocolate tastings. In order to change the way people think about chocolate, we considered it was important that our clients understood how our chocolate is made, that’s why inside our packaging you can find an illustration of our chocolate making process.

At Alkimia we care about the environment and that is why our packaging is made out of recycled paper.

Our packaging also highlights the unique cultures of each cacao origin. For example, Piura was inspired by Chulucanas ceramics, Cusco was inspired by traditional weavings from Cusco and Amazonas was inspired by the Chachapoyas culture.
