Merchandise for the Indian Space Research Organisation

Evoking a sense of national pride and building aspirational value for future generations, these packages for the Indian Space Research Organisation [ISRO] celebrate the ambition and determination of the people behind the missions of ISRO.

Gaganyaan Package celebrates the announcement of the launch of the Gaganyaan mission which is the first-ever Indian mission that aims to launch a crew to an orbit and bring them back safely to Earth. The package consists of a model of the launcher of mission [LVM3] along with badges and an exploration guide with details of the mission.

With a mechanism to slide the case up while opening, it alludes to the rocket’s ascent and the ambition to defy gravity and reach new horizons. Literally, ‘Gagan’ means sky and ‘Yaan’ means craft or vehicle in Sanskrit. Shades of the sky and a visual of Earth, which is the planet surrounding the orbit of spacecraft along with an illustration of the launcher are seen on the package.

Chandrayaan-3 package celebrates the successful soft landing of Vikram Lander on the south pole region of the moon. Thus this package consists of a model of the Lander along with badges and an exploration guide. Its shape is derived from the Lander as well.

The opening mechanism of the package bears a resemblance to the opening of Lander. The circular window at the front provides a sneak peek into what is inside the package and also resembles circular windows seen in spacecraft. Literally, ‘Chandra’ means moon and ‘Yaan’ means craft or vehicle in Sanskrit. A visual of the Moon in outer space along with an illustration of Vikram Lander with stars all around is seen on the package.

This project is hypothetical packaging done for the Indian Space Research Organization.
