What is this product about?

This is a limited-edition collector’s box set designed for The Adventures of Tintin, Hergé’s globally loved comic series. The product includes a curated selection of Tintin books, an exclusive figurine, and themed souvenirs that immerse the user in Tintin’s adventurous world. It is designed as a collectible for both new readers and nostalgic fans, celebrating the legacy of the character through packaging.

The Concept :

The concept is rooted in the theme “Quiffed Reporter”. Just like how Tintin embarks on global journeys, the packaging invites users to explore his world through an unboxing experience. The form of the box and the design is inspired by the famous clothing style and colours of Tintin. Every item in the set—from the figurine to the passport—reflects a part of Tintin’s personality and his explorer spirit.

The packaging is designed to be reused and cherished:

  • The main box doubles as a keepsake or storage unit.
  • The book set forms a display-worthy illustration when aligned.
  • The figurine case acts as a collectible display piece.
  • Bookmarks and stickers are functional and collectible.

What is unique?

The design takes cues from the storytelling structure of the comics, making each item in the box feel like a chapter in an adventure. The inclusion of a passport, bookmarks, and stickers adds playfulness and interactivity, turning packaging into a participatory experience. Each component, especially the book spine alignment and figurine, is crafted to be collectible and display-worthy.

The final packaging successfully brings Tintin’s universe into a physical, collectible form. It balances nostalgia with modern aesthetics, appeals to a wide audience, and creates an emotional connection through thoughtful storytelling and tactile design.

This project demonstrates how classic content can be reinterpreted for contemporary audiences through well-crafted packaging—turning books into an immersive product experience.
