A rum that is 100% Indonesian — from the locally grown sugar cane to the distillation process. Santana, which translates to “ocean” in Javanese, brings to life the maritime origins of rum.

THE CHALLENGE

Create a brand for a premium Indonesian rum with a ‘tropical and maritime theme’, including the design of a bespoke bottle structure, brand identity, and label.

THE SOLUTION

A classic maritime scene was illustrated, featuring a Javanese djong ship sailing in the Bali Sea, with

the iconic volcanic mountains in the background. The label is framed with foliage to evoke an exotic tropical vibe. A bespoke wordmark was crafted, integrating wave motifs into the ‘A’s’ to strengthen the brand’s connection to the sea.
