BRANDY

Produced from the double distillation of Isabel wine and aged for 12 years in American oak barrels, this limited-edition Brandy was created to celebrate one of the most important grape varieties in the history of Brazilian winemaking. More than presenting a rare and sophisticated spirit, the project sought to recognize the role of the Isabel grape in the development of Brazilian vineyards and in the consolidation of the Italian immigrant communities that helped shape the country’s wine culture. Although it is now often regarded as a lower-value variety compared to traditional vinifera grapes, Isabel was the grape that enabled viticulture to adapt to Brazilian conditions nearly 200 years ago, contributing directly to the economic and social development of wine-producing regions.

The main challenge was to create packaging that reflected the quality and exclusivity of a spirit aged for more than a decade without relying solely on its technical attributes. It was essential to elevate the perceived value of the Isabel grape and position it as the central character of the story, highlighting its cultural and historical significance to Brazilian viticulture. At the same time, the limited-edition nature of the product required a presentation capable of emphasizing its collectible character, reinforcing the exclusivity of each of the 300 individually numbered bottles.

The solution was built around the journey of the Isabel grape itself. Rather than treating history as a secondary element, it became the core concept of the project. We developed a timeline that traces the grape’s path from its origins to its arrival in Brazil, transforming the packaging into an object of discovery, memory, and cultural appreciation. Every visual element was designed to reflect this legacy, positioning the product within a premium category consistent with its complexity, aging process, and exclusivity. Graphic elements, finishing details, and individual bottle numbering reinforce the special nature of the edition, while the historical narrative extends the tasting experience beyond the product itself.

The strength of this concept proved so meaningful to the brand that it later became the foundation for other products within the portfolio. The same narrative celebrating the Isabel grape was subsequently applied to the BellaVinha table wine range, establishing a communication platform that recognizes the contribution of this variety to the formation of Brazilian viticulture. The result is a project that brings together history, culture, identity, and product, transforming a limited-edition Brandy into a tribute to the grape that helped build Brazil’s winemaking tradition.
