MoleCola : Design Collection
The iconic 90.60.90 bottle enters a new chapter.
Originally designed in 2017 for MoleCola and recognised with several international design awards, the bottle has evolved into a collectible design object inspired by one of Italy’s greatest cultural expressions: tailoring.
Rather than redesigning its silhouette, the project reinterprets its surface: five original textures become the protagonists of a collection celebrating material, craftsmanship and Italian creativity. Each pattern gives the bottle a distinct personality, like a fabric chosen by a tailor, while preserving the unmistakable identity of the original design.
Glass becomes a medium for storytelling. Light interacts with embossed surfaces, creating depth, reflections and tactile sensations that invite people to experience the bottle beyond its primary function. The result is not simply a series of new graphics, but a collection of objects where texture becomes language and decoration becomes identity.
The project draws on the timeless relationship between Italian fashion and craftsmanship. Every bottle can exist independently while belonging to a coherent family, united by proportion, material and design philosophy.
More than a packaging refresh, the collection explores how design can extend the emotional value of an everyday object. By encouraging people to keep the bottle long after its original purpose has ended, packaging becomes something worth preserving rather than discarding.
In a market where packaging is often designed for a single use, MoleCola follows a different path: creating an object people may choose to display, collect and reuse. Sustainability is not communicated through claims, but through desirability. The longer an object remains meaningful, the longer its life can be.
This collection represents the natural evolution of the award-winning 90.60.90 bottle, a project that continues to demonstrate how thoughtful design can transform an everyday product into an enduring expression of Italian culture.
