CHALLENGE
For Poiana Winery, the challenge was to create a distinctive packaging identity for an alcohol-free wine collection designed for the HoReCa segment.
As alcohol-free wine continues to develop as a category, the packaging needed to move beyond the functional “zero alcohol” message and create a product with its own premium character — one that could feel naturally at home in restaurants, hotels and other hospitality environments.
SOLUTION
We developed the concept around the sensory character of the wine itself, using the freshness and floral notes of the Muscat grape variety as the starting point for the visual identity.
Instead of relying on conventional cues associated with alcohol-free beverages, we created an expressive botanical world that gives the collection its own personality while maintaining the elegance expected from wine packaging.
CHARACTER & ILLUSTRATION
Botanical illustration became the central storytelling element of the label.
Flowers, leaves and organic forms are arranged in multiple visual layers, reflecting the aromatic and floral character associated with Muscat. The composition was developed with a paper-cut-inspired approach, creating the impression that individual botanical elements overlap and emerge from the label.
This layered treatment adds depth and turns the packaging into a more tactile and engaging visual experience.
VISUAL LANGUAGE
The visual language combines botanical illustration, layered compositions and paper-cut-inspired detailing with a clean and contemporary packaging structure.
The contrast between expressive floral elements and carefully controlled typography creates a balance between freshness and sophistication.
The result is a visual identity that communicates the lighter character of an alcohol-free product without losing the refinement and presence associated with the wine category.
OUTCOME
The final packaging gives Poiana Zero Alcohol a distinctive identity within an emerging product category and positions it specifically for the HoReCa environment.
Rather than treating alcohol-free wine as an alternative version of a conventional product, the design gives the collection its own visual world and story.
The result is a contemporary alcohol-free wine packaging system that combines product character, botanical storytelling and strong visual recognition — designed to make the zero-alcohol choice feel considered, desirable and complete.
