Aanva: Branding and Packaging (Nizamabad Black Pottery)

Pranjul

Aanva is the culmination of a four-week academic endeavor focused on creating a name, visual identity, and packaging for Nizamabad’s Black Pottery, an art form recognized with a geographical indication tag by the Indian government. The project champions India’s rich craftsmanship and supports local artisans, aligning with the nation’s Vocal for Local campaign.

About the Packaging:

Encapsulating tradition with a twist of innovation, this packaging for the Nizamabad black pottery vase marries form and function. The minimalist white version offers everyday elegance, with a secure cuff lock and petals that unfold like a blooming flower, each revealing details about the artisan-crafted vase inside. The black special edition transforms the experience, adding a layer of luxury with premium materials for festive moments, while keeping the interactive petal reveal that captivates and delights. Both designs not only protect but also tell a story of heritage, craftsmanship, and the beauty of surprise.
