The name and packaging design of each limited edition of Quimera wine is inspired by a work of art.
Quimera Vítreo is a reinterpretation of the glass sculpture “Portal Interdimensional” by Alejandro Herrera Guiñazú. This label symbolizes the chimeric transformation of glass: sand and heat draw a parallel with the sandy soils and high temperatures of eastern Mendoza—the birthplace of this wine.
The use of glass in the original piece reflects the combination of sandy soils and high temperatures characteristic of Finca Mirador, located in eastern Mendoza, Argentina.
For the label, we selected a detail that synthesizes the chimeric transformation of glass and the intense heat required to melt it—resulting in a visually striking and original image that conveys the uniqueness at the heart of this creation.
The Quimera Vítreo case replicates one of the two sculptures that make up Portal Interdimensional. On its sides, the Quimera brand emerges in relief with spot varnish, evoking the shine and texture of the glass.
