Rosa Salsa

ABOUT

Rosa Salsa is a fire-roasted, small-batch salsa brand from Texas. The product had heart. The founder had vision. But the brand identity didn’t match either.

My role was to redesign the visual identity and packaging to reflect Rosa’s bold flavour, warmth, and confidence without losing its small-batch soul. The challenge? Do it all within a very limited label space, while helping the brand look ready for retail expansion.

SOLUTION

We built the design around a serif wordmark, refined with custom tweaks based on the founder’s eye for detail. A rose icon was embedded in the “O”, a subtle signature linking name and narrative.

To maximise brand presence, I introduced circular labels for the jar lids, created two interchangeable front-label variations (ingredient-based and use-case based), and used solid colour blocks paired with curated, hand-drawn ingredients used to make the salsa to keep things artisanal and honest.

Mockups and AI visuals helped us test real-world presence early, guiding faster, clearer decisions from concept to final artwork.

RESULT

Rosa Salsa launched in Central Market stores across Texas, with branded caps, posters, and shelf visibility that matched the energy of the product inside.

What once looked homemade now stands confidently beside national brands without pretending to be one.
