ChocAffaires began in a small kitchen in Bombay in 1978 and has since evolved into a brand built on tradition, care, and craftsmanship, where every chocolate is handmade by an all-women team.
Despite the quality of the product, the existing packaging was wrapped in simple cellophane and thus did little to communicate its premium positioning. There was no distinct identity, limited shelf presence, and minimal recall, creating a disconnect between the product experience and its perceived value.
The objective was to reposition the product as a premium, gift-worthy offering while building a recognisable visual identity.
The solution focused on structure and restraint. A cube box format was introduced to create a stronger physical presence and improve stackability and display. The graphic language was kept minimal, with a textured orange-inspired motif that subtly cues the product without being literal, allowing the materiality and finish to carry the sense of indulgence.
This balance between form and graphic expression ensures the packaging feels elevated while remaining rooted in the product story.
The outcome is a cohesive packaging system that enhances shelf visibility, aligns with the brand’s craftsmanship-driven narrative, and elevates perceived value, positioning the product as both a personal indulgence and a considered gift.
