Beautiful Times — Year of the Dragon Gift Box

The design draws inspiration from “Two Dragons Chasing the Sun,” transforming a traditional zodiac symbol into a contemporary festive identity. Two dragons soar through the clouds toward the rising sun, symbolizing the brand’s spirit of renewal while conveying vitality, auspiciousness, and blessings.

The color strategy contrasts the soft greys of traditional Taiwanese courtyard houses with neon pink, creating a distinctive festive atmosphere. Through abstract geometry, Eastern elements, and high-contrast colors, the design reinterprets zodiac imagery using a modern visual language.

A layered unboxing experience runs throughout. A circular cut-out frames the golden inner box, forming a visual focal point reminiscent of a sunrise. Inside, gold brick-like modules symbolize prosperity and abundance, while continuing the brand’s reference to mountain and tile textures. As each module is opened, a dragon-scale patterned greeting card is revealed on the back, turning the inner box into an emotional medium that can be written on, shared, and collected.

The project adopts a scalable modular structure to reduce the use of single-use seasonal packaging. The base box and carrier bag follow universal specifications, allowing future packaging themes to be updated simply by changing the lid graphics and handle tags. The flexible inner tray adapts to different product combinations. This system minimizes material waste, improves production efficiency, extends packaging lifespan, and ultimately strengthens long-term brand recognition and value.
