Paratethys

Moldova

Thirty-four million years ago, the Paratethys Sea covered our land, long before vineyards, before cellars, before humans. As it slowly receded, it left behind a sacred legacy: limestone-rich soils, a mineral foundation that still defines the character of Moldova’s vineyards.

From this ancient seabed, the wine is born through human intention, knowledge, and mastery. Like an oyster is shaping a pearl, craftsmanship transforms mineral earth into something alive.

Oak lends structure and depth. Then comes the silence, where time itself becomes an ingredient.

Finally, the wine returns to its origin, resting in underground galleries carved into the very limestone once shaped by the Paratethys Sea. Stone becomes sanctuary.

Yet Paratethys is a living connection. The Eiffel-engineered bridge over the Prut River marks a point of passage between worlds, between East and West. Its precise coordinates are inscribed on the label as a symbol of passage and unity.

The materiality of Paratethys narrates a 34-million-year journey, where geology, craftsmanship, and meaning converge.

The label should be read through touch as much as sight. Its layered circular architecture and multilevel embossing function as a manuscript, where every detail tells a great story.

The laconic golden path traces the value line. First, the Cenozoic Era praises the natural heritage; next, the tribute to the wine; ending with our land’s geolocation, bridging West and East, where peace and connectivity are the ultimate forms of luxury. Everything is linked through the debossed lines, representing the underground galleries, true proofs of sustainable transformation. The bottle becomes a vertical timeline, its textured base recalls raw limestone; its smooth upper body represents contemporary craftsmanship.

The Custom closure: origin meets innovation. A precisely engineered core ensures technical performance, while the limestone element crowns the bottle.

As the ancient sea once linked continents, Paratethys embraces this historical role: wine as the most beautiful bridge between cultures, between histories, between people.
