In China, the frog symbolizes yin, the lunar principle, immortality, wealth and longevity. The Chinese myth of Hou Yi and his wife Chang’e tells about how Chang’e settled on the moon after drinking the elixir of immortality, where she turned into a three-legged frog. Since then, she has been in the moon palace and forever in the mortar the drug of immortality. Since then, every frog in Asia is looking for a wonderful elixir.
Thus, the label of the drink looks friendly to the consumer and causes associations with local folklore.
Whiskey “Drunk Frog” is a product created for the Asian market. When developing the design, the main task was to create an image of a product with an attractive label that would look simple and organic in stores.
A character was created in accordance with the brand name. All typography and design was created in the style of Asian graphics.
