Öömrang is a small-batch, family-run winery and distillery in Stanwood, Washington producing exclusive, high-quality white wines and eaux-de-vie from premium fruit grown and selected with the highest care.

The owners of the winery are both of German heritage and have a rich family history of growing grapes and producing wine in the Franconia region of Bavaria. The Öömrang vineyards are located at the same latitude as Bavaria, making it an ideal climate to grow German varietals. Öömrang is wholly inspired by its founders’ German-Franconian heritage, a legacy of winemaking that dates back to 1870.

Öömrang came to CF Napa Brand Design to create a logo and packaging design that would showcase the pride of ownership, craft and legacy that is the inspiration and passion behind Öömrang. CF Napa’s solution was a modern, clean look inspired by German architecture and design. A bold, custom icon is the centerpiece of the label.

Using the Ö with the umlaut, the icon was created by interlocking the two Ö’s from the name Öömrang. On the white wine labels, the Ö icon pops in gold foil while spliced at the center by a dramatic angle. The extension to the eaux-de-vie and geists utilizes color in the Ö icon to differentiate between the different flavors.

A pearlescent foil provides a special detail on these premium spirits labels. Along with the elegantly shaped bottle, both the wines and spirits have a custom glass closure adorned with a metal coin that is embellished with the memorable Ö icon. Every detail of Öömrang’s packaging was designed to complement the modern architecture of the winery and distillery while paying homage to the owners’ German heritage.
