Founded in Saizerais in 1885, La Châouette is a microbrewery from Lorraine (France) that produces organic and traditional craft beer. Due to its proximity to Germanic culture, the Lorraine region is a rich land in brewing tradition. The term “La Châouette” refers to the inhabitants of the village and means “the owl” in local dialect.
The new identity is inspired by the legend of Saint Arnoul, the patron saint of Lorraine brewers. The legend tells that an abundant source of beer sprang up from where his coffin was laid. Traditions and legends resulted in a delicate fusion between the face of the saint and an owl. The result offers a double reading and invites people to discover an authentic local product.
