Martesana pastry shop Christmas Packaging

Martesana is a historical Milanese pastry shop founded in 1966, internationally well-known for its quality. For the Christmas Packaging, we designed panettone boxes with a fresh and contemporary aesthetic.

Our intention was to create an iconic object that can last and be kept over time, as well as in terms of environmental sustainability. This idea is highlighted also thanks to an eco-friendly choice of Fedrigoni Materica paper conveying a smooth touch. Whilst, concerning the colour, we opted for a Red Earth nuance – the same as the one used for the entire range of Martesana packaging – that recalls the brand’s traditional orange, but in an earthier shade, in order to highlight the handcrafted product quality. For the paper covering the interior of the box we used a sky-blue tone, as a counterpoint color drawn from the sign of the first shop founded in 1966. On the surface the new, elegant Martesana logo serves as a visual element itself that runs around the volume of the box through an embossing, enhancing the whole tactile perception of the packaging.
