Opportunity: Savory Snackage asked us to help their brand pivot as they added new product categories and grew beyond their original band. What started as tasty seasoned nut mixes was now expanding into sauces and dressings, with more concepts on the horizon.
The Change: It was important for Savory to retain their current customers, so we worked with them to develop a more inclusive brand name that maintained a link to the original. Thus Savory Snackage became Savoure Kitchen. We developed a brand mark around the idea of neatly arranged spice powders. To emphasize the clean ingredients, we developed a set of unique custom illustrations for each sauce, dressing, and barbecue sauce. The front label includes a flavor description and tasting notes for curious shoppers. A metallic treatment on the labels further highlights the packaging.
Impact: Customers enthusiastically grabbed the new packaging as retailers and distributors took an interest in the refreshed brand. They are now planning to expand into more product categories in 2023.
Curator’s Insight: The illustrations are one of the most distinctive features of the new packaging. They are unique, custom-made, and eye-catching. They showcase the ingredients and the personality of each sauce and dressing, while also conveying a sense of freshness and naturalness. The illustrations are complemented by a flavor description and tasting notes on the front label, which provide more information and appeal to curious shoppers. The metallic treatment on the labels adds a touch of sophistication and premiumness to the packaging.
The design agency did a commendable job of helping Savoure Kitchen pivot their brand identity and packaging design. They demonstrated creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail throughout the project. They also delivered a solution that met the client’s objectives, satisfied the customers’ expectations, and enhanced the brand’s image and value.
