Imako Dry Wine

The task

In this project we partnered with Imako Vino a North Macedonian producer of high-quality wines. Initially the task at hand was difficult as we were asked to produce a complete redesign of the packaging, however the complexity of the task rather than being a challenging barrier actually allowed our teams creativity to flourish to an even greater extent. We chose to approach this design in an entirely unique way, generating the main focus of this design around the captivating nature of the country which was captured through live photography in our travels to North Macedonia. Combining both photography and digital design together to formulate a truly vibrant packaging.

The creative

The main idea behind the design process was driven by the simplistic yet elegant nature of the wine itself, which the art of this project fully illustrates through the merging of photos of the soil of the country in the various pebbles and stones, to the mountains and the towering sun. The photos of the pebbles and stones symbolize the very core essence of nature itself, accompanied by the gentle depiction of the mountains to the right of the soil itself, encompassing the different heights to which nature truly reaches. This theme was even further expanded on through the addition of the stylized sun towering over both the soil and the mountains, acting as the thematic cherry on top. Both the soft shades of olive and the darker purple were perfectly complemented by the elegant gold bringing the colors of each individual design together into an overall visually pleasing and highly symbolic piece.
