Ancient Craft, Modern Wines

Designing the label for Petachya Winery allowed us to craft a story—a narrative of tradition and innovation intertwined with the philosophy of natural winemaking. Every detail was chosen with intention. We used modern fibers, avoided plastics entirely, and relied solely on natural printing processes to bring the “natural” concept to life. The label itself is printed on natural cotton paper, a material that not only feels authentic but also reflects the purity and simplicity central to Petachya’s respect for the land.

At the heart of the design is the name Petachya, blind-embossed in the ancient Early Aramaic alphabet. This subtle yet striking detail pays tribute to the deep roots of winemaking, a craft steeped in history and tradition. To connect this ancient foundation with the present, we layered the Aramaic script beneath a clean, modern typeface. This combination captures the evolution of winemaking—an art rooted in heritage but reimagined for the modern world.

The finished label feels both timeless and contemporary, a visual embodiment of Petachya’s essence. It honors the craftsmanship of the past while celebrating the creativity and possibilities of the future, bringing together the best of both worlds in one elegant design.
