Project Overview
This university project was focused on the creation of a fictional premium medicinal water brand. The task involved defining the brand persona (and the target audience), analyzing the competitive market, and establishing a clear market positioning. The outcome was the development of a brand identity and premium packaging for four existing Hungarian medicinal waters under the newly conceptualized brand, Magyar Gyógyvíz (Hungarian Medicinal Water).
Brand Identity & Concept
Rooted in nature and purity, the brand embodies elegance, luxury, minimalism, and sophistication. The brand draws inspiration from its natural sources, reflected through the use of earthy, natural tones in its visual identity and packaging. At the same time, it pays homage to traditional apothecary aesthetics, incorporating a vintage-inspired, stamp-like label to evoke the heritage and healing properties of medicinal waters.
Packaging Design
The glass bottles were designed to convey a sense of premium quality and timeless elegance. The minimalist layout integrates clean labels, refined typography, and a harmonious color palette, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to natural purity. The logo features the initials of the brand name (M, GY), along with a visual representation of the four unique water sources and subtle nods to the original windowed packaging designs of the medicinal waters.
This project combines heritage and modernity, resulting in a design that reflects the healing properties of medicinal waters while appealing to a contemporary premium market. This brand is not just a brand; it is a representation of Hungary’s rich traditions and natural resources.
