The Waffle Spot is not just about waffles—it’s about bringing the joy of brunch to life with a design that blends bold personality, vibrant aesthetics, and premium appeal.
For the packaging, the idea was to keep usability and fun hand in hand – from the small holdable plates to carriable takeout boxes or customized cups. We wanted it to feel warm, inviting, and full of personality, just like the experience of digging into a perfectly made waffle. The brand is all about indulgence, fun, and a little bit of nostalgia, so the design had to reflect that with bold, vibrant colors and playful elements, while still keeping a premium touch.
The wordmark takes center stage with its chunky, cursive style, adding character and approachability. To complement it, we created a pattern featuring waffles, brunch staples, and subtle graphic details that weave together a fun yet cohesive brand language. The colors were chosen to step away from the predictable neutrals often seen in brunch spots—we wanted something that felt fresh, exciting, and just as delightful as the menu itself.
The main inspiration was the feeling we all have when we share a brunch with our friends and loved ones – the happy and fun times.
