For Grün Coffee Roastery’s brand identity and packaging, I drew inspiration from the coffee plant itself, aiming to create a visually striking illustration. Initially, I explored a detailed sketch-style approach, but as I refined the concept, I chose to create a bold, black ink-like abstraction of the coffee plant with its fruits. The final design captures the organic essence of coffee in a modern, graphic form.
The logo is a bold, uppercase wordmark that embodies a confident brand presence. The use of a slightly rounded, blocky typeface gives it a modern yet approachable feel, ensuring impact across different applications. By combining the logo and the illustration, I wanted to create a connection through all visual elements. The plant grows around the logo, symbolizing the brand’s deep connection to coffee cultivation. To create strong visual differentiation, I used warm, vibrant tones for the whole bean bags and a cool blue for the cold brew cans. The design seamlessly blends artisanal craftsmanship with contemporary minimalism, featuring clean typography and structured layouts that enhance brand recognition.
