Glowing up, I always remember mom making a glass of fresh soymilk in the morning. With the simplest ingredients, the smooth and creamy soymilk comforts me and reminds me of the sweetness of home. To deliver that taste and love, I created Dou soymilk, a brand that offers homemade quality soymilk made only with water and organic soybeans.
The brand’s name, Dou, is referenced by the Chinese word “soybean” to embed its origin and history. While reflecting the culture of drinking soymilk in the East, the brand embraces a minimal and playful identity to attract and introduce the original flavor to a broader group of customers.
Since the process of making Dou soymilk is so simple and transparent, I decided to use solely typography to emphasize the purity of the brand. The goal is to deliver a key visual identifier that instantly grabs attention while revealing the authentic and approachable nature of the brand. With a bold logo, I believe a simple and minimal packaging layout would be the best solution. Thus, the stacked headline became the complimentary visual to support the dominant logotype. Besides using the packaging, the same layout will be applied across various applications, such as web, promotional flyers, and billboards. With modernized branding and packaging, Dou is here to bring authentic flavors to diverse cultures.
