Jelly Roll Grease, founded and produced in Rio Grande do Sul since 2020 and now based in São Paulo, is a 100% Brazilian manifesto that elevates the art of barbering. The brand honors traditional craftsmanship while innovating, using ingredients from local vineyards to create products with superior quality. The brand celebrates Brazil’s cultural diversity, strengthening the regional economy, valuing small producers, and promoting male self-care that is inclusive, authentic, and free of prejudice.
Jelly Roll approached us at a moment of evolution, seeking a visual language that made sense for the brand’s future. The challenge was to organize a complex packaging system that previously lacked unity and clarity. We needed to create a robust visual structure to differentiate product lines, improving the experience for both the barber in their daily routine and the final consumer looking to maintain their grooming at home. The focus was on building a brand personality that is Latin, authentic, classic, and superior.
The logo and monogram were hand-drawn to reinforce the value of craftsmanship and the brand’s identity. The packaging features a mix of vibrant colors from Brazilian and Latin culture; the lids maintain a look that preserves the classic feel, while the sides bring a modern touch with clean, large fonts for intuitive identification. We kept the technical terms in English, as they are industry standards, but included phrases in Portuguese and the Brazilian flag to reaffirm our roots. The project’s excellence extends to print production: we used special textured papers and finishes such as hot stamping, embossing, and screen printing, ensuring a tactile experience that reinforces the perception of a premium product. The result is a functional design that organizes the portfolio and values national trade.
