Herdade do Rocim Terracotta (Clay Aged) was crafted like the clay of the amphorae where it ages, making it unique and distinct from traditional oak barrels. Each bottle proudly displays a medallion handcrafted by a potter (individual piece). The natural texture of this clay piece with the embossed text invites us to touch and discover, while the material itself reveals clues for tasting.

Herdade do Rocim is located in the town of Cuba, near Vidigueira. This is a family project led by the couple Catarina Vieira and Pedro Ribeiro, both winemakers, who are passionate about the estate and the wines they produce, applying their know-how to position them at the highest quality standards. Of the estate’s 120 hectares, 70 are reserved for vineyards and, of these, 22 have been converted to organic production methods, a reflection of these winemakers’ environmental concern and their commitment to preserving native species.

In its 10 years of existence, we redesigned the range of Herdade do Rocim wines, including the logo, and created a seal that expresses the philosophy they uphold. We chose Linaria ricardoi as a symbol for the brand, an extremely rare plant with lovely violet flowers. To preserve this plant, Quercus established a micro-reserve in the region, with Rocim becoming actively involved in the cause.
