The recent product launch of Redfora’s Everyday Sanitizer Set was created to help alleviate some of the panic around the coronavirus outbreak and uncertainty of recent times, according to the founder of branding agency Deuce Studio.

Deuce Studio have been working closely with US emergency preparedness brand Redfora, on their new product. Jonny Aldrich, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Deuce Studio, said: “The reason behind the new product was to offer all of your sanitizing needs in one handy place, reducing the need to remember various different items whenever you leave the house”

The Everyday Sanitizer Set contains hand sanitiser, tissues, surface wipes, all provided in a refillable pouch, giving users convenience and peace of mind.

Deuce Studio approached the packaging design by first carrying out in-depth market research so that they could further understand both the emergency preparedness and health categories.

This informed the look and feel, which avoided the stuffy COVID-19 communication typical of governmental advertising and workplace disclaimers, but on the other hand, also steered clear of the highly masculine and often domineering ‘disaster prepper brand’ look which is common with Redfora’s competitors.

Jonny added: “The challenge was to take a serious and clinical product and approach it a light-hearted way, without trivialising the topic. To achieve this, we combined functional layouts and typography with an approachable colour scheme and playful bear characters inspired by the Redfora logo, in order to soften the design and create some personality.”

Jonny and the team then developed a range of visuals to help advertise the product, a mini brochure explaining how to best use the product, and letterbox-friendly delivery packaging.

Skyler Hallgren, the co-founder of Redfora, said “working with the team at Deuce Studio was such a delightful experience. They understand the logistical constraints put forth and have great design instincts.”

Summarising, Jonny said: “We are pleased to help Redfora in their mission of generating some reassurance among people looking to protect themselves and their loved ones, and we look forward to working with them again in future.”
