Development of a visual system for Vitazhinal supplements
Besins Healthcare, an international manufacturer of innovative products for men’s and women’s health, approached us to develop a packaging design for the Vitajinal brand.
The challenge was to develop a visual system for a dietary supplement designed to support the health of expectant parents. The key design requirement was to reflect the scientific validity and effectiveness of the products, which implied the use of visual elements associated with medicine, research and innovation. At the same time, the design had to establish an emotional connection with the consumer, evoking a sense of trust, care and safety.
In approaching the issue, we studied the audience and realised that our consumers need a sensitive approach while using Vitaginal products. Typical category imagery, while providing a direct understanding of the product’s purpose, can make consumers uncomfortable by making a personal situation public.
Therefore, our goal was to create a modern and unique brand image that catered to consumers using unobtrusive visual communication that did not directly emphasise the topic of pregnancy planning.
As a result, we created a minimalistic design that successfully combines these two aspects.
The packaging is distinguished by an attractive colour palette, flowing lines and a thoughtful layout. The brand expertise translates the images of the molecule as a key element seamlessly integrated into the design.
Also, the visual design based on abstract shapes provides discretion and usability without revealing the direct purpose of the product.
In addition to the packaging design, we also optimised the instructions for use. To improve clarity and ease of information retrieval, our designers developed a system of icons and blocks with infographics to make the instructions more understandable and user-orientated.
